Welcome from my studio in the beautiful Northumberland hills. This space is a private, warm bubble in the forest. I'm happy to shoot indoors or outside here - both are beautiful options.
When I was a teenager, my dad taught me to process and print black and white film in our basement darkroom. Faces and street photography became a passion that I channeled into a 30-year career as a news photographer. Portrait assignments were my favourite and my strongest skill and that continues to this day.

I have been a volunteer with Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep, a world-wide organization that provides a free gift of professional portraiture to parents suffering the loss of a baby or child, since 2006.
NILMDTS trains, educates, and organizes professional photographers to provide beautiful photographs to families facing the untimely death of an infant. We believe these images serve as an important step in the family’s healing process.
